REMOVE THE SCREWS FROM THE TOP COVER.

LIFT THE TOP COVER OFF TO EXPOSE THE FUEL REGULATOR AND ADJUSTMENT.

UNPLUG THE WIRE FROM THE FUEL LOCKOFF. THIS WIRE IS LOCATED IN FRONT OF THE BATTERY TRAY.

|
REMOVE THE VAC HOSE AND THE FUEL HOSE FROM THE REGULATOR.

5 |
|
REMOVE THE 2 BOLTS HOLDING THE REGULATOR TO THE BATTERY TRAY. REMOVE THE REGULATOR, LOCKOFF AND HOSE FROM MACHINE.

PLACE THE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY IN A VICE IF AVAILABLE.

|
REMOVE THE BRASS EXTENSION ON THE FUEL ADJUSTMENT.

PUSH THE LOCKOFF AND FUEL HOSE OUT OF THE WAY WHICH WILL ALLOW ROOM TO REMOVE THE OLD FUEL ADJUSTMENT.

REMOVE THE OLD FUEL ADJUSTMENT FROM THE MACHINE.

APPLY TEFLON PLUMBERS TAPE TO THE FITTINGS OF THE NEW FUEL ADJUSTMENT.

SCREW IN NEW FUEL ADJUSTMENT INTO THE REGULATOR AND TIGHTEN. NOTE: MAKE SURE TO POINT THE BRASS FITTING ON THE FUEL ADJUSTMENT IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS THE OLD ONE SO THE FUEL HOSE CAN BE ATTACHED.

LOOSEN THE SMALL BLACK SET SCREW ON THE NEW FUEL ADJUSTMENT.

TURN THE TRIANGLE SHAPED ADJUSTMENT OUT COUNTER CLOCKWISE SEVERAL TURNS UNTIL ABOUT HALF WAY UP.

REINSTALL THE 2 BOLTS THAT HOLD THE FUEL REGULATOR ASSEMBLY TO THE BATTERY TRAY.

|
REVERSE STEPS 3 AND 4 TO REASSEMBLE THE MACHINE.

TRY STARTING THE ENGINE. IF THE ENGINE DOESN'T START WELL AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS, TURN OUT THE TRIANGLE ADJUSTMENT ON THE FUEL ADJUSTMENT COUNTER CLOCKWISE A FEW TURNS. REPEAT STEP UNTIL THE ENGINE STARTS AND RUNS WELL ON IDLE.

TURN THE SET SCREW ON THE FUEL ADJUSTMENT UNTIL TIGHT.

REINSTALL THE TOP COVER AND TIGHTEN THE SCREWS.
